TYPE DESIGN
Avox is a display typeface inspired by the musical notation. Music is a huge part of my life so I wanted to develop a typeface with a rhythm I loved.
I enjoy many different genres of music but I’m most drawn to sounds that are out of the ordinary and irregular. Avox has irregularities in the rhythm created by the contrast of the varying thicks and thins. The tear drop shape and the overall structure of the letters were inspired by the shapes of musical symbols.
